How it works

Match, Chat, Create

  1. Set up your profile

Tell us whether you’re an artist or producer, your genres, and the moods and styles that define your sound. It takes less than a minute.

  2. Producers upload their catalog

Upload your beat or preview and get it in front of the right artists.

  3. Artists swipe, producers get the likes

Artists hear the beat before they know who it is. Producers see who reached for their work and decide from there.

  4. Both sides say yes, the chat opens

You already know the interest is mutual before either of you has said anything.

Questions

What is Selectr?

Selectr is a matching app for recording artists and music producers. Producers upload their catalog, artists hear a track before they see who made it, and the chat opens once both people have said yes. It is made by Selectr Studios Ltd in the UK.

How does Selectr match artists with producers?

On the music rather than the profile. Every uploaded track goes through an audio model that describes how it actually sounds, and artists get the same treatment for the genres and moods they pick. The match percentage is how closely a producer's catalog sits to what an artist reaches for.

How is Selectr different from other music collaboration apps?

Most of them match on the profile: your credits, your city, who you already know. Selectr ranks on the audio, so a producer with no name and the right sound comes up ahead of a bigger name with the wrong one. The artist hears the track first and the name second.

Who is Selectr for?

Recording artists, vocalists, rappers and producers looking for someone new to work with. You pick artist, producer or both when you join, and your feed only shows the other side.

Do I need to upload music to join the waitlist?

No, an email is enough. After that you can tell us your genres, the moods you work in and what you are looking for. It takes about a minute and it gives us people worth matching you with on day one.

When does Selectr open?

There is no public date yet. Selectr is opening to a first group of artists and producers, and everyone on the waitlist gets an email when their place is ready.
