What we collect, why we use it, and your choices.
What we collect
For the waitlist, we collect your email and, if you choose to complete a pre-launch profile, your role, artist or producer name, bio, sounds, moods, social links and profile image. Instagram is required for artist profiles and a Spotify link is optional. Producers upload one to three beats, including each file's name, type and size. We also record basic campaign and referral details from the link you used. If you later receive an invitation, we store the account, matching and message information you choose to provide.
How and why we use it
We use waitlist details to review interest, decide who to invite, operate the service and contact you about Selectr. We rely on your consent for waitlist updates and on our legitimate interests, or steps you ask us to take, to review submissions and provide the service. We do not sell your personal information.
Where it is stored
Selectr Studios Ltd is the controller. We use service providers to run Selectr, including Vercel for hosting, Neon for database storage, Cloudflare R2 for uploaded files and Resend for transactional email where enabled. Those providers process information for us under their own security and data-protection terms.
Cookies
The public site uses strictly necessary cookies to remember a waitlist submission and protect its next steps. Invited accounts also use necessary authentication cookies. Campaign parameters can be saved with a waitlist record so we can understand which link led to a submission. We do not currently use non-essential advertising or analytics cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist details while Selectr is opening access and for as long as they remain useful for that purpose, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Account information is kept while your account is active and for a limited period where needed for security, legal or dispute purposes. Uploaded waitlist beats are removed when they are no longer needed for review.
Your choices and rights
You can ask for access to, correction of or deletion of your information, object to or restrict some uses, withdraw consent, or ask for a portable copy where the law applies. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office. To make a request or leave the waitlist, email hello@selectr.app.
Safety and contact
